Our Story

As I reflect on all of the amazing communities I have been a part of throughout my life. I recognise how absolutely blessed I have been to know what it means to be surrounded by loving and supportive humans who have helped me be who I am today. When I think about these communities and why they were so special, a lot of it comes down to the level of connection between the people and our opportunities to truly share our lives with one another.

Connection seems to become increasingly difficult to foster as the years pass, whether that's because life gets busy with other things or people grow older and grumpier. I have seen firsthand how building connection has to be intentional and consistent, which eventually becomes a desire of the heart to continue to pursue once in place. My goal by starting Hosting Merriment is that more people get to experience true connection with the people they walk through life with.
